Secretary
It is my pleasure to welcome you to PRE, and I look forward to assisting you with items related to our incredible school! As the school Secretary, my duties vary, including but not limited to ordering supplies, textbooks, furniture and equipment that are needed to make the jobs of our staff run smoothly, scheduling meetings with Mrs. Scafede and Mr. Hudecek for parents and other members of the community. In addition, if a parent has an issue with a teacher, we do ask that they try and resolve it with that teacher prior to talking or meeting with Mrs. Scafede and Mr. Hudecek. It is also my job to arrange the substitutes when the teachers are out, as well as take care of payroll, the budget, run reports for our administration and teachers, answer the phones, and distribute the mail. I will help cover our Teacher Aides, Crosswalk Aides, Buses, Health Aide, Bettina Stagner and our Attendance, Cherry Crook, and wherever else I am needed. You might also find me outside playing with the kindergarten!
I have been with the Marana School District since 1994. I began my service at the District office as a substitute. As a substitute I worked in almost every school as an aide, health aide, and crossing guard. I then took a job at Butterfield Elementary as an aide for a year end position that became a full time position and from there I took the position of aide, kindergarten aide, back up health aide, attendance, attendance specialist, and secretary at the District office. I was incredibly excited when I had the opportunity to join Desert Winds Elementary as the secretary and be a part of the unification of Desert Winds and Picture Rocks. Not only do I love this school but I also love our families and our community. This is where my heart is and there is nowhere else I would rather be!
Please remember that I am always here if you need something for yourself or family.
